Anthurium splendidum Lepanthes forming a ribbed patternThis is a rare and highly sought after terrestrial aroid native to the montane forests of Colombia and Ecuador. It is prized for its massive, heavily bullate (bumpy or quilted), dark green leaves with prominent, deeply sunken veins that give the foliage a spectacular, textured appearance. Light: Requires bright, indirect light, which is necessary to encourage large leaf development. Direct sunlight will quickly scorch the delicate foliage.
