This was also relatively reduced and impossible to evaluate
but with nothing out of balance
This very firmly structured effort is a definite ‘wow’ wine that should amply reward long-term cellaring
but I liked its almost sangiovese-like floral quality
Dauzac Vintage:2009 This was also relatively reducedThe 2015 Dauzac has a classy, sophisticated bouquet of blackberry, boysenberry, cedar and light fennel aromas; a floral element emerges with just a few swirls of the glass. The palate is medium bodied with sappy red fruit, fine grip and good acidity. A little viscosity surfaces toward the finish, which leaves a dash of white pepper on the aftertaste. This is a more opulent Margaux, but one that is well crafted. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015
