And, it appears that William Jones who proudly signed the back in 1932 put a great deal of effort into carving that texture into the wood, which the whole picture is make of, leaving just the silhouette of George and his horse flat smooth (outlined with incising), to which were then applied black and creamy white paint, with graphite drawn
