Constructed of silver, suspended from a single toe claw attached to the center of the award with a slotted bar (marked Copy), suspended from its ribbon, an octagonal medal bearing the rightward facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a diadem with maple leaves and surrounded by Elizabeth II dei Gratia Regina as well as Canada in capital letters, the reverse with an image of the Royal Canadian Mounted
