Cirillo 'The Vincent' Grenache 2019 Ornellaia Peat Heavily Peated Single MaltMarco Cirillo has some of Australia's oldest Grenache vines dating back to 1850. The Vincent Grenache vineyards range in age between 80 to 100 years (the babies of the bunch). The importance of old vines in Australia is understated. The old, rugged, gnarly vines make concentrated wines that resist drought in the arid and hot climate. The old vines also bring an elegance and purity to the wine, which breaks the trend of sweet, oaky Barossa Grenache.
