An Order Of The Sword, Miniature Auction Archive obverse centre displaying a femaleIn silver gilt with blue and white enamels, measuring 15. 5 mm (w) x 27 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon with pinback, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Sword was instituted on February 23, 1748 by King Frederick I. It was originally presented for bravery in the field and at sea, and later, also awarded for long and distinguished service in the armed forces, in five grades. It is no longer awarded.
