A 1939 Iron Cross II Class award document, named to Haas as an Unteroffizier of Infanterie Regiment 521, issued at divisional headquarters on 7 July 1941, certified by the handwritten signature of Generalmajor Wilhelm Stemmermann (Knights Cross of
