Japan, Empire. An Order of the Sacred Treasure, Fifth Class with Case Buy Now inscribed "Gott mit uns" inInstituted January 4th, 1888. Constructed of silver gilt with white and blue enamels, along with sixteen red glass cabochons, on a horizontally pierced ball and swivel ring for suspension from a correct period original replacement ribbon, unmarked, measuring 43. 3 mm (w) x 48. 3 mm (h inclusive of ball suspension), on period triangular ribbon, very fine. Accompanied by a small rosette and original case of issue in black lacquer with purple interior,
