Spain, Franco Period. An Order Of St. Hermenegildo, Commander's Star, C.1950 Newly Listed which is separately machine stitched(Real y Militar Orden de San Hermenegildo). Instituted 1814 by King Ferdinand VII. Franco Period issue. A reduced size four armed cross with ball finials in bronze gilt, featuring cluster of five beaded rays in each quadrant in silvered bronze, with obverse centre in bronze gilt exhibiting a superposed figure of St. Hermenegildo, with a light blue enameled background, surrounded by a white enameled border inscribed PREMIO A LA CONSTANCIA MILITAR
