Germany, Third Reich. A Winterhilfswerk Collection Box with Coins, Gau Steiermark, by Westermann & Co. Auction topped by dual numbers “30”(Winterhilfswerk Sammelbsche Gau Steiermark). A well preserved Winterhilfswerk (WHW) collection box, constructed of a magnetic metal shell which retains the vast majority of its original red paint, featuring a retractable lid with a narrow slot for the insertion of coins and a round hold for the insertion of paper currency (appropriately flanked by an inscription of PAPIERGELD PAPER MONEY), closing with a snap button which meets two protruding clips
