Constructed of silvered war alloy (magnetic); the obverse depicting the cronwed royal monogram of Gnther; the reverse inscribed Verdienst im Kriege (German Merit at War); on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon; measuring 39. 52 mm in diameter; weighing 28. 8 grams; in overall very fine condition.
