Constructed of silvered a silvered bronze alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) insignia in the form of a shovel overlaid by a mobile swastika, flanked by wheat stalks, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of FR TREUE
