A key pillar of our housing strategy is strategic collaboration with institutions aligned with our mission. AWHES is proud to partner with Family Homes Funds (FHF)—a financial institution established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to support low-income Nigerians in owning decent and affordable homes. Through this partnership, we work to bridge the gap between housing need and affordability, especially for women-led and low-income households Our target under the Family Homes Funds partnership is ambitious and impact-driven: to support 500,000 families to own their own homes through structured, transparent, and inclusive housing solutions. This initiative reflects our long-term commitment to scale, sustainability, and national impact.

Beyond strategy and partnerships, AWHES has delivered tangible results. Through our collaboration with Family Homes Funds, we have successfully built 100 houses specifically for women, with keys formally handed over to the beneficiaries, marking a critical milestone in our mission to translate policy and partnerships into real home ownership for women and families.

In addition to housing delivery, AWHES has implemented various women empowerment programmes designed to strengthen economic independence and long-term sustainability. These include skills acquisition initiatives, agricultural and farming support programmes, entrepreneurship training, and other income-generating empowerment activities aimed at improving livelihoods and reducing vulnerability.
